Distribution: This is a transpalaearctic species. The nominal west Palaearctic species is common and widespread in northern Europe, from Ireland to Bachkiria, in Scandinavia up to the 67th parallel. In southern Europe the species inhabits the Pyrenees and the Alps. The subspecies kyrnos is endemic to the mountains of Corsica; the subspecies oros endemic to the mountains of Greece. The subspecies higashi Sakagami & Ebmer 1979 occurs in Japan (Hokkaido and N. Honshu island), Russia (Ussuri, Primorskiy Kray), southern Sakhaline Island, China, North Korea and Manchuria.
Distribution: transpalaéarctique, la sous-espèce ouest palaéarctique de l’Irlande jusqu’en Bachkirie, vers le nord jusqu’au 67e parallèle, dans le sud en montagnes (Pyrénées, Alpes); la ssp. kyrnos est endémique des montagnes de la Corse; la ssp. oros des montagnes de Grèce. La ssp. higashihabite le Japon (Hokkaido et nord de l’île Honshu), la Russie (Ussuri, Primorskiy Kray), le sud de l’île de Sakhaline, la Corée du Nord, la Chine, et la Mandchourie (Charbin).
