Bombus flavidus is restricted to the boreal taïga in the north (nominal ssp.) of its distribution and to the subalpine level in the Pyrenees (ssp. lutescens) and in the Alps (ssp. alpium). The host of this cuckoo-bumblebee is not precisely known.
