Distribution. Cape Verde Islands, North Africa, Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Niger, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Arabian Peninsula, Near East (Israel, Jordania), southern Iran, southern Afghanistan, Pakistan, northwestern India.

Visited plants (in Africa). Caesalpiniaceae: Cassia obovata (2 MM, 1 F). Euphorbiaceae: Euphorbia pubescens (1 M). Fabaceae: red Fabaceae (1 M), Medicago sativa. Malvaceae: Gossypium sp. (1 M). Mimosaceae: Prosopis juliflora (1 M). Tamaricaceae: Tamarix senegalensis (5 MM), Tamarix sp. (94 MM, 7 FF).
