Sébastien Patiny Atlas of the European Bees: genus FlavipanurgusFirst on line 1.III.2012
The phylogenetic relationships of Flavipanurgus are actually only inferred based on morphological characters. These tend to place them as a sister-group of the Panurgus Panzer. However, the availability of specimens suitable for further molecular studies is nowadays highly wishable, as well as additional data for the sketchy known species (i.e. F.fuzetus and F.merceti).
