Thyreomelecta are bees extremely rares in collections. We only know 35 observations in the surveyed area. There are very few ethological data concerning this genus. They are cleptoparasitic species and Rightmyer & Engel (2003) give Anthophora of the subgenus Petalosternon as hosts.
This first version is includes mainly the references provides by Lieftinck (1968) and Rightmyer & Engel (2003).
Many thanks to Manu Dehon for his help.
